Starbucks Holiday Drink Review

It’s that time of the year again, Christmas season. Decorations come out, snow starts to fall, but the main thing everyone loves about the Christmas season is the holiday drinks/food that come out. Especially the ones you can find at your local fast food restaurants like Starbucks. As soon as November 1st hits the calendar, fast food restaurants change their menus from fall treats right to holiday treats. Starbucks is one of the most known and famous fast food places for their holiday menu. But which treat is the best out of all of them?

Starbucks has a wider variety of holiday treats than other places do. Which is why some may prefer to go to Starbucks rather than any other place for the holiday season. But it’s also a matter of what drinks/food is better than the other.

Starbucks holiday treats are always a classic and never fail to make customers satisfied every holiday season. New drinks this season include an Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai. Drinks from past years return on the menu like the classic Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulee Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte and Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte. Food on the Starbucks holiday menu this year is the Gingerbread Loaf, Peppermint Brownie Cake Pop, Cranberry Bliss Bar, Snowman Cookie and the Sugar Plum Cheese Danish.

Peppermint Mocha: Starbucks classic Peppermint Mocha is one of the most basic drinks on the holiday menu. Although it is the best and most popular item, which is why it keeps on returning on the menu each season, like this season for its 21st year. Starbucks fans have also chosen the Peppermint Mocha as the best holiday drink and it’s no surprise why. The Peppermint Mocha has to be my personal favorite drink. I thought some of the other drinks were my favorite but I caught myself ordering the Peppermint Mocha the most. It has a very strong taste of peppermint and mocha and has a strong taste of coffee which makes it such a great combination. It’s the perfect drink to get into the holiday spirit and it can come iced or hot. This drink is topped with whipped cream and is drizzled with chocolate.

Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte: The Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte was definitely one of my favorite drinks on the holiday menu. I went back and forth between the Peppermint Mocha and the Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte. It was a close call. When I first tried it I was shocked at how much it tasted like a Christmas cookie and it almost “tasted like Christmas” and “tasted like a sugar cookie in drink form.” It doesn’t have a strong coffee taste to it either which can sometimes make the drink more enjoyable. If you aren’t a huge coffee fan but love sugar cookies then this drink would be perfect for you to try. It’s topped with red and green sprinkles that make this drink so much more festive and flavorful. This is a drink I would definitely order again and this drink can also be enjoyed hot.

Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai: Starbucks came out with a new holiday drink this season, the Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai. This was the first season the drink has ever been out on the menu and this drink was definitely not for me. Others may enjoy it but it was not enjoyable for me. The gingerbread taste was almost too strong to the point where it was not good and the spice was too strong. It may not come off strong to others but in my opinion gingerbread isn’t a great flavor overall and if you enjoy gingerbread then you should try this drink out. It was by far my least favorite drink on the holiday menu compared to all the other drinks I tried. This drink was not for me but it can come in hot too.

Toasted Chestnut Praline Frappuccino: The Chestnut Praline Frappuccino was a great holiday treat and I would definitely recommend this drink to anyone who wants a drink that tastes more like a “treat”. This drink can also come as a hot or iced drink. The Toasted Chestnut Praline Frappuccino is similar to the Caramel Frappuccino because of their similar tastes. But the Chestnut Praline has caramelized chestnuts and spiced praline in it that make it a crunchy and sweet combination. The coffee taste isn’t too strong either which can make this drink more enjoyable at times if you aren’t up for having something with strong coffee in it.

Iced Caramel Brulee Latte: The Iced Caramel Brulee Latte is a good sweet treat to start out the holiday season. One of my favorite parts about this drink is that when you immediately taste the drink it’s full of crunchies which are caramel brulee bits that melt in your mouth. Although this drink is not one of my favorites on Starbucks holiday menu. The coffee taste is very strong and it has a nice caramel flavor to it. It’s topped with whipped cream drizzled with caramel on the top of it. If you are looking for a strong caramel taste then this drink is for you.

The Starbucks holiday food is a must try for me even though I have not got the chance to try it out yet. Although I’ve heard that Starbucks holiday drinks are much better than the food. The Starbucks holiday collection is perfect for the holiday season and a great treat for a nice winter day.
