Bass and guitar player, Logan Johnson, is a senior at Woodland Regional High School. While Johnson mainly focuses on music, he also enjoys working with his hands doing things like construction projects with his dad, but coming from a musical family, he was bound to play an instrument. When he is playing music he specializes in R&B, country and bluesy music.

Johnson’s favorite musician is John Mayer because of his soulful voice and guitar skills, which have been a huge inspiration to Johnson. His favorite instrument is the bass guitar due to how versatile it is but Johnson hopes to learn the saxophone in the future and possibly add a jazzy tone to his pieces.

Johnson started playing music because of his family. Being a part of a musical family, Johnson saw his older brothers playing music and saw what he wanted to do. Soon after he got his first drum set, his passion sparked there. Now he uses this relationship with music as an outlet for his creativity.

“I don’t feel so closed off when I create because I am making something bigger than myself.” Johnson says.

In the future, Johnson plans to become a music producer both for himself and other artists because of the spark he has with music and meeting new people. His goal is to create something that outlasts him, a legacy, with his and other’s music. He is on the path to creating his own record label and hopes to one day work with local Connecticut artists.
