  • During block 2A, the Woodland Choir prepared for their performance at the Buschnel Theatre for the Teacher of the Year ceremony, in which Meghan Geary, Woodland English Teacher and CT State Teacher of the Year, will be honored. They performed “The Star Spangled Banner”, along with “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. Geary’s AP English Language and Composition class attended their rehersal. Emma Krushinski, Woodland junior, stated, “It was amazing,” with junior Elayna Beutel jokingly responding with, “It should be in Pitch Perfect!”. They will perform Wednesday, December 4th.
  • For two days this week, volunteers came into gym and health classes to raise awareness about drug and alcohol use. Students wore "drunk goggles" and participated in activities such as driving and stacking cups. The purpose of the activity was to simulate the experience of being under the influence, and teach how it impacts perception and performance.
  • Meet Brianna Cochran! Besides from her passion of writing, she loves to dance and act! This year, she hopes to improve her skill of choreography and writing!
