Sophomore Class to Hold Breakfast with Disney Characters

Meeting a princess won’t require a trip to Disney World or even England; instead head straight to the Woodland Regional High School cafeteria.

The sophomore class will hold “A Breakfast with Disney Princesses” from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 5th. Children will be able to eat, talk, and take pictures with their favorite Disney princes and princesses. Kids up to ten years old will attend the “breakfast-for-dinner” alongside classic favorites from Cinderella and Prince Charming, to Jasmine and Aladdin.

This event will not only benefit the sophomore class and its finances, but also the freshmen. Sophomore advisors are allowing  any freshmen interested to volunteer as servers or to help prepare food in the kitchen. While freshmen will be able to apply for community service hours, sophomores will get $10 off their fees for future class events.

There will be a $5 fee to have a picture with a prince or princess taken and printed at the event. All proceeds from this function will go directly into the sophomore class treasury to help pay for future events.

Boys and girls from the class of 2017 will be dressing in their select Disney character for this event.  Random draws were used by the class officers and advisors to chose which student would be cast as a prince or princess. Sophomore class president, Alyssa Varesio, noted that the process was necessary since  many students wanted to be Disney royalty.

“We all met up as class officers with the advisors and put all of the names in a bowl,” said Varesio. “For each individual prince and princess we picked a name and an understudy.”

Front door entrance fees will be $7, but advance payment fees cost just $5. Tickets go on sale starting in May.
