Best Buddies Holds Tag Sale

“Best, Best, Best Buddies! Best, Best, Best Buddies!” could be heard down the hallway of Woodland Regional High School, when a Best Buddies meeting is taking place.

Best Buddies is an international organization that helps develop friendships between students with and without disabilities. According to the Best Buddies website, about 800,000 lives have been impacted, both people with and without disabilities. Many club members have gone into the world and became leaders, lived on their own, had beneficial jobs, and made friendships that can last a lifetime.

In Woodland, Best Buddies is all about making one on one friendships. They are always going on outings and adventures to pursue their companionship.  At the end of September, the Best Buddies club is having a tag sale, Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th. Last spring, the first year for the tag sale, they raised two thousand dollars, all benefiting the Woodland Chapter of the Best Buddies Club. The tag sale was extremely successful. They all hope that this year’s sale will be as successful, if not more than the previous.

“At the tag sale, we’ll be selling furniture, toys, books, clothes, kitchen items, and shoes sold,” said Emma Sardinskas, Best Buddies Co-President. The Best Buddies club hopes to see you there!
