Featured Freshman:: Haley Andrews

Since she was four years old Haley Andrews has had a love for the game of soccer. On and off the field Haley is always practicing for what she loves. “I practice almost everyday. During the offseason I go to a Uconn camp for a week and play indoor soccer” Andrews says.

Haley, a freshman made the varsity team as a center mid fielder for Woodland’s Girl’s Soccer Team “It feels great to be on varsity, I almost cried when I found out because I was so happy.” Haley says.

Becoming a player on varsity is a great experience and she loves the girls she works with. The team is a great bunch of girls who all love to get on the field and play the game they love. “I love every single person on the soccer team. We are a family and everyone on that team has a big heart, and I couldn’t ask for any better captains.” Haley says.

Haley has gained a lot of support from her family and friends and without the help of her parents she would no be where she is today. “With my parents helping me and improving me to get better I have made it this far.”

Andrews grew up loving the sport of soccer and will continue to do so. On and off the field she will always be a player at heart. “The soccer ball may be on the field, but the game is always in the player.” Andrews says.
