Erin’s Closet: Keep it Classy

Untitled #110    The sun is starting to set later and the birds are starting to chirp. You know what that means, booty shorts and crop tops! Ha ha ha, just kidding. There’s a time and a place for everything, but school is not a place to show off your goodies. Sure this isn’t the fifties and our fashion choices aren’t the most conservative. But the next time you go out shopping, make sure you don’t buy the smallest tightest pair of shorts.
A great alternative is chinos. Chinos from J.Crew are such great shorts, and they come in all different colors and patterns. They come in two lengths, a five inch inseam and a three inch inseam. For all my short ladies, the three inch inseam elongates your legs and is very flattering.
Just because booty shorts aren’t appropriate for school, doesn’t mean you need to be a fashion disaster. You can still wear clothes that flatter your body and that you like.
The same goes for tops. Crop tops do no flatter all bodies and I’d rather see them at Coachella, not school. A classic button up or plain t-shirt will look great paired with your choice of chinos.
It’s warmer, it’s sunnier and that means more skin. But keep it appropriate, keep it fashionable and keep it classy.
