Bruno Mars Takes Over MetLife

The only thing warming up the fans at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey during halftime of the Super Bowl XLVII was Bruno Mars’ red hot performance. He certainly stole the show dismissing any doubts and entertaining thousands of fans with his undeniable talent.

A group of young performers opened the show harmonizing to one of Mars’ most famous songs, “Billionaire”. With a classy gold blazer, Mars sang his heart out, banged out a drum solo, and showed off his dazzling dance moves. He sang a medley of some of his most famous hits including “Locked out of Heaven” and “Treasure.”

And MetLife Stadium in New Jersey was lit up the entire time. Mars and his background singers danced on a floor alive with electricity and lasers and showered the crowd with a colorful light show. To top it all off, each fan received a wool hat in their warming packs with a LED screen on the top. They were instructed to wear it during the performance ultimately illuminating the whole stadium.

On top of Mars’ already amazing performance, an appearance from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, an American rock band formed in 1983, appealed to almost every American watching the show. Each fan was on their feet, jumping and pumping their fists. And their shirtless chests and funky style only added to the intensity.

However, Mars did not let them steal the spotlight. He ended the show with a soulful performance of “Just the Way you are,” standing on a single pedestal in the center of the field. During this song, soldiers dedicated the song to their loved ones at home touching the hearts of those in the stadium and those watching. Mars’ energetic performance ended with an incredible fireworks finale above the stadium.

Bruno Mars put on a soulful show filled with diverse genres of songs and styles and captured the attention of every one watching making him a great choice for the halftime performance at Super bowl forty-eight.
