The Woodland Cheerleaders walked off the mat confident at the UCA Regionals on November 20th.
The Lady Hawks managed to keep all their stunts in the air and get the crowd involved with their routine. They resulted in good scores, a first place trophy, and a qualification to the UCA Nationals in Florida.
“I am proud to be on the first Woodland Cheerleading team to go to the UCA Nationals,” said junior cheerleader Amanda Oliveira.
The Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) Competition is the biggest cheerleading organization in cheerleading world. All teams from around the country go to this competition to compete for the championship title.
Now that the girls competed, they will be preparing for Nationals. This includes adding in more difficult stunts and motions through out the routine.
“Our routine is already solid and fabulous,” said senior cheerleader Molly Ensero, “So if we could add more difficulty that will still hit perfectly, we have a great shot at Nationals.”
The Nationals will take place in Orlando, Florida inside Disney on Feburary 12th-16th.
