To Snow or To Not Snow

Woodland Students are looking forward to the potential first snowstorm of the year coming up on Sunday, January 7. The weathermen have told us to expect between 1-8 inches with that changing on a daily basis.

Evan Polonio, snow enthusiast, has been wishing for a snow day so that he can go skiing and just enjoy the day at home rather than school.

“I’m really excited and I hope that we can finally get some snow,” says Polonio. “Hopefully the skiing conditions are good enough for everyone to go out and have a great time.”

Although this year may be one of the hottest on record, we can all have our hopes of snow. Woodland has basically had a cancellation due to some rain and have had our fair share of wind days throughout the years, but it has been less common for us to get snow. We get ice and have ice days but where is the snow?

With conditions expected to be a high of 33 degrees fahrenheit, and a low of 18 degrees fahrenheit, it is not unheard of for the students to get excited about this. These are prime snow conditions, especially if there is gonna be some precipitation in the air.

Since we are coming off of a winter break where no snow appeared in our yards, we should all put our spoons upside down under our pillows and have our fingers crossed for a very snowy Sunday with conditions not quite ready for school on Monday.
