Makayla Constanti, senior dance team captain, will join the legacy of last year’s captains as she strives to be a leader this year.

With her accomplishments and victories, she leads brightly. 

Constanti has been dancing for 15 years at CT Dance Theatre and the Arts, a studio in Prospect, Connecticut. Constanti has been on the Woodland Regional Dance Team ever since she was a freshman. Dancing over the years has helped Constanti with the ability to step out of her comfort zone and aim for big dreams and demanding goals.

“The enjoyment I get when dancing is exciting and therapeutic, said Constanti. It is just a great feeling being out on the dance floor hearing people cheer you on.”

Faced with new ideas from challenging competitors every day the feeling dancing gives Constanti helps her overcome every ounce of fear that may stand in her way. 

As high school will soon be over for Constanti, she plans to use these valuable skills she has learned from dance to help make her mark out in the real world and college. 

Constanti believes dancing is all about emotions and feelings. She will try her best to be great when it comes to the people she values most.
