Dress Code Perspectives

croce-1

Mrs. Croce: “I think it’s a good idea. I’m enforcing it. I think it makes people realize what appropriate levels of attire should be.”
laura

Laura Vitzoski: “I think that dress code for years has discriminated against women because boys have broken it for years and not gotten in trouble. I think dress codes promote misogynistic views because they don’t promote confidence or men to respect women. It doesn’t promote modesty, it promotes sexism of women and minors.”

morcey

Mr. Morcey: “I think the new dress code is very fair. It gives students a lot of leeway in their attire. This is a learning institution, which should be the main focus.”

Zach Cochran: “It’s too strict. I was never distracted by shoulders or short shorts.”

kyle-bolduc
Kyle Bolduc: “It’s highly unnecessary and a bit overbearing. They make the teachers check out students that they don’t want to.”

DJ DeCarolis“We should stop sexualizing womens bodies. It’s a shoulder, get over it.”

Zack Vaccarelli : “I like shoulders. “

Isaiah Miller: “I’m really confused about why there are so many rules. If they’re gonna have a dress code then they should just give us uniforms. ”

Caitlyn Donegan: “The shorts rule is stupid. As long as your butt isn’t out, you should be able to wear shorts.”
