Make Your Mom’s Day Without Emptying Your Wallet

I Love You This Much

Materials:

  • 2-3 pieces of 8.5×11 pieces of paper.
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Marker (color of your choice)

Instructions:

  1. Trace your hand on a piece of paper and cut it out.
  2. Repeat for your other hand.
  3. Cut a strip lengthwise from a 8.5×11 piece of paper.
  4. Fold the strip back and forth accordion-style.
  5. On the strip write “this much”
  6. Glue each end of the strip and paste in between the hands.
  7. Write “I love you” on the left side hand.

Paper Flower

Materials:

  • 2-3 pieces of 8.5×11 pieces of paper.
  • Scissors
  • Glue/Tape
  • Green pipe cleaners
  • Ribbon
  • Marker (preferably black)

Instructions:

  1. Trace and cut out a small flower (with 7 petals) on a piece of paper (color of your choice).
  2. Trace and cut out another flower (with about 7 other petals) on a different color piece of paper.
  3. Glue the second 7 pedals onto the first seven.
  4. Glue the two flowers onto a green pipe cleaner.
  5. Repeat Steps #1-4 two more times to create two more flowers.
  6. Tie the flower “stems” together with a ribbon. (add tape underneath to secure it).
  7. Write the letters “MOM” on the front of each flower, one letter on each.

Tissue Paper Piece Card

Materials:

  • Legal sized paper (or two pieces of 8.5×11 paper)
  • Tissue paper (various colors)
  • Glue
  • Marker

Instructions:

  1. Fold a legal size paper into three parts accordion-style.
  2. On the front, write “Mom…” in the middle.
  3. Around the writing, tear off about 1×1 inch pieces of tissue paper and glue randomly.
  4. On the inside, glue a different colored paper, almost extending to the edges.
  5. Write “I love you” on the inside.
  6. On the last page, draw a heart covering the page and glue more pieces of tissue paper in the heart.
  7. Write “to pieces!” underneath the heart.
