After a second interview at Naugatuck High School yesterday, Woodland Football’s Offensive Coordinator, Timothy Phipps, was informed today about their decision. It was announced that Phipps did not get the position as Head Football Coach at the school. Instead, the position went to Craig Bruno, a football coach, from Bunnell High School in Stratford.

Bruno, has been the only football coach at Bunnell to win playoff games and state championships. In 2007, Bruno received recognition as “The Lou Rettino 2007 High School Football Coach of the Year”. Bruno is leaving Bunnell on good terms, with all his goals accomplished, and is now moving on to face a new challenge.
