Love is Louder Literary Magazine!

The Love is Louder magazine is almost here!

Woodland’s Advanced Creative Writing class usually makes two literary magazines a year. One is usually produced in the fall just for students, and the other comes out on Fine Arts Night in the spring and is sold.

This year, the fall issue became the winter issue because it is featuring Caitlyn Sousa’s senior project: the Love is Louder movement.

Sousa asked students to write a brief statement about a challenge in their life which love is louder than. These statements will be featured in the upcoming magazine.

The Love is Louder Magazine will be sold for five dollars apiece. The profits from the magazine will go towards a scholarship for a senior Creative Writing Student.

The spring magazine, Contact, will still be produced this year and come out on Fine Arts Night. Advanced Creative Writing Student Makenzie White, who is working on the layout for the Love is Louder magazine, said “This year is our tenth magazine so we want to do something a little more special.”

The magazine includes artwork, prose, and poetry of Woodland students, and submissions are being collected now. Any Woodland student can submit a piece, which will be reviewed and selected anonymously for submission.

Only 100 copies of the Love Is Louder Magazine will be produced, and students can pay $5 to reserve their copies now. This magazine is being reserved fast as the Love is Louder movement has gotten a huge response from students at Woodland.
