Woodland Girls Soccer Start Season Strong

The Woodland High School Girls Soccer team started off the season strong with their first game against Ansonia with a tied score of two.

This season’s team is young but strong. They are working hard to get ahead and make it all the way.

Ally Negaro, senior captain of the Woodland Hawks  said, “I am very excited to be a captain this year, we have a great season ahead of us.”

The team has many young players this year stepping up to the plate. There are three seniors, three juniors, six sophomores, and nine freshmen.

All the players agree that the captains and coaches are doing a great job of motivating  them and pushing them to do their absolute best.

The team has two to three games every week and practice every day after school.

“We are working really hard this year,” stated freshmen Alaina Neddermann. “I’m glad I tried out. I have so much love for this game.”
