Prospect welcomes the Brunch House, a brand new breakfast and lunch restaurant run by busy parents of three, Lindita (Lin) Dauti and Bashkim Dauti.
Bashkim Dauti was born and raised in Prospect and Lin Dauti moved here nine years ago. Her first observation was the fact that there is no breakfast place in town. She knew she wanted to open a place with her husband, however, she needed to wait for a sponsor. The official opening date of the Brunch House was Friday, November 18, 2022.
Since the Brunch House was opened, almost everything has gone completely perfectly. “This town is really supporting us in everything we do,” Lin Dauti stated.
Not only is the town giving them great help, but they also have techniques on their own that have made the business starting smoothly. Starting slow for Lin Dauti and Bashkim Dauti has assisted them in not making any mistakes or setbacks.
“We just put our business out there and it just flowed really well,” Lin Dauti said.
The Dauti’s believe that everything has been going positively with the help of their support system, work family, and environment. The only worry the Dauti’s have the regards that the seating within the Brunch House. If more customers hear about this new restaurant, they might have to expand their business into the space next to what they are currently in.
With Lin and Bashkim’s new business, they have to handle the responsibility of their new business on top of their commitment to their three kids.
“Finding balance is everything and nothing at the same time. It’s hard in the beginning but once you find your balance, it all can be done, ” Lin Dauti said.
Finding a happy medium is what seems to work for Lin and her husband. They agree that it is difficult; however, if you take your time and go at your own pace, everything will work out positively. The Dauti’s are excited about what they have in store for 2023 including expanding their menu, which will assist in bringing new experiences and many new memories. Lastly, from opening a new business, Lin and Bashkim advise anyone who is looking to do the same to keep simple things in mind.
“Don’t forget about yourself. Whatever your first decision is, go with it. Don’t change your gut, don’t put anything on the backburner. If you know what you want, go with it.”
