Throughout the season, Woodland Dance Team has been blessed with many different gifts, from new poms, joggers, and most recently, jean jackets.

Jenn Cataldi, dance team coach, has had this idea for a while now. After participating in many fundraisers, such as a car wash, bottle and can drive, and a pie fundraiser, the booster club was able to buy the jackets for the girls.

They are black jean jackets, with the dance team logo displayed on the back, and the girls last name on the top of the jacket, both made of gold glitter.

The jackets can be worn at competitions, dance team functions, or whenever the girls please.

Cataldi set up a scavenger hunt, sending the girls on a wild goose chase around all three floors of the school. Each stop had a funny picture of each girl with the clue to the next. Once the girls found all the clues they were sent back to the cafe for a surprise. When they opened the door they were shocked to see the beautiful jackets displayed over the backs of the chairs waiting for them.

“I think they are fun,” said captain Kaylin Giuliani. “It’s something different that other teams don’t have.”
