Student Council Members Being Recognized

Throughout the 2013-2014 school year, Student Council has hosted many different events that have worked to bring the school together. The events Student Council puts together such as the annual Homecoming Dance and Pep Rally as well as making cards for kids and blankets for the sick babies in the hospital all have meaning behind them. However,  rarely are these students acknowledged for the effort they put into running these events. But starting now these hard working students will be recognized.

Student Council is simply based on the number of points earned in a semester. For executive officers it is necessary to earn 120 points by the end of the year and for senators and class officers 30 points are needed. The awards that are now going to be given are simply based on students who have earned over 100 points.

Those who have earned over 100 points are Ryan Flanagan with 106.5 points, James Giacomazzi with 133 points, Casey Stevens with 148.1 points, Kent Gerber with 148.6 points, Jianna Vaccarelli with 153.5 points, Lindsey Rodorigo with 158 points, Jessica Crosby with 175.6 points and Caroline Ecke with 196.5 points.

Next are the students with 200 points or more. Zachery Crowell with 205.6 points, Mary Vlamis with 244.5 points, Emily Polito with 273.5 points, Emma Sardinskas with 275.5 points, Alexa Kiernan with 279.1 points and Mary Buckley with 285 points.

Representing the 300 pointers is Salma Shitia with 343.6 points.

Finally there are those who have exceeded 400 points. This group includes Ayah Galal with 416.85 points, Jeffery Lauck with 440 points and Anna Boris with 477.5 points.

All of these students have done an outstanding job of working hard and putting time and effort into their job on the Student Council. As the seniors get ready to head to college they hope to end this year with a bang and that next year will start off fresh and clean. In order to have a say in what student council will be doing next year, do not forget to vote for the 2014-2015 officers on May 23!
