Woodland’s Impressions on the Deadpool & Wolverine Teaser

Action fans alike, the average millennial and GenZ knows Marvel. Through the creations of Stan Lee’s creativity, the franchise has expanded through new adaptations in crossing multiverses. During this year’s Super Bowl XLVIII, fans were introduced to no other than the third movie to make Deadpool a trilogy. With some recent flops from XMen and Marvel, fans wonder about the outcome of this new edition. Taking a look at Woodland, students also seem to have mixed reviews about the aired trailer.

Marvel continues to grow through other entertainment such as Disney. Many followers have the shared feelings of whether or not Disney will destroy the movies Marvel and Pixar continue to create. One student who considers this matter is Ethan Henry, a sophomore of the Class of 2026.

“I believe these movies may not have the best performance because of the influence of Disney,” said Henry.

After the connections between different movies under Stan Lee’s work, many speculate whether or not connecting multi-verses is simply too new and overused in cinema. Christopher Tomlin reviews whether or not it may be a potential flop due to the continuous usage of the timelines,

“I am actually worried about this movie; I am not a huge fan of the multiverse connection. This movie was a side project that they are now linking throughout XMen,” Tomlin expressed.

“ I have questions based on how marvel also connects through Deadpool such as those canon events. ”

Upon initial release, Deadpool’s first movie within the franchise was a box office hit resulting in 300 million short of one billion dollars. Soon following, the second movie was released just two years later making and exceeding how much the first movie grossed, claiming the title of highest-grossing film in the XMen series. Fans now continue to wonder if this new edition will uphold the reputation of the previous two.

If you’re a Ryan Reynolds fan, followers continue to favor his humor throughout his career. From his starts in cinema in the 90s to his newly released films, Reynolds adds techniques to his acting to have his fans returning to the theaters constantly. Eager to see Reynolds back again, Kenan Collins shared his opinions on the beloved actor.

“Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman definitely have a bromance I believe; I think they work off each other very well while filming,” Collins said.

Considering the new points of views after digesting the teaser, is this movie truly here to stay or go? The movie Deadpool and Wolverine is set to release on July 26th, 2024. Awaiting the new arrival, Woodland is impatiently wondering what can be expected of the film.
