2023 Adirondack Balloon Festival

Starting on Wednesday, September 20th, 156 campers watched as Hot air Balloons lifted off the tarmac, and soared up into the horizon. The Adirondack Balloon festival has just celebrated its 50th anniversary, along with the 22nd anniversary of the Northeast RVers group. People from all over the country gathered together for this wonderful event, all supported by the amazing committee and volunteers. Adrian Brenitstein is the current president, and Jackie Elder was in charge of reservations.

One family from East Granby CT, found this event through Facebook. It was their first year attending, and they will be looking into more events similar to this one. While their daughter loved waking up early for the balloons, her brother wasn’t as thrilled. This is unlike Bill and Terry Springsteen, who have been attending this event for almost seven years, and have attended the one held in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

This event highly relies on community involvement, and it’s clear that the people enjoy their work here.

“As one of the volunteers, we love this. You guys do a great job. Thank you.”

A lot is left up to Mother Nature, but this year she was in favor of this event. Even with the winds, campers got the incredible view of the Hot Air Balloons floating over their campers in the morning.

This is an event that has safety as its number one priority, and is able to deliver fun for people, young and old alike.
