Through hard work and dedication, senior Michael Varesio is one of the four timber team captains for the upcoming fall and spring seasons. Varesio has been a part of the team since his freshman year and really enjoys building relationships with new teammates.
“I’m excited to work with the new teammates. I want to encourage them to do their best and for us to win,” said Varesio
The Timber Team participates in events like Pulp Toss, Crosscut, Bow Saw, Axe Throw, and Log Roll at their performances. Their most recent success was at the Goshen Fair.
Varesio set a personal best for his crosscut time (4.67 seconds) with Jarok Dauber, Varesio’s teammate.
Coming up in early October, the Timber Team gets to show their skills at the Harwinton Fair.
“I’m excited since it’s always fun when we compete there,” said Varesio
Varesio is looking forward to all opportunities that he has to perform.
He is thrilled to play a part in the team’s motto to “Work Hard, Saw Hard, Throw Hard”.
