Harry Styles: Satellite Music Video

Harry Styles has just released a music video for his song “Satellite”on May 3, the fourth video off of his latest album, Harry’s House.

Released in 2022, Harry’s House was an instant hit, with “Satellite” reaching the Top 10 on Spotify’s charts.

Since the release of the album, Styles has been on a world tour. At every concert, fans noticed a small robot roaming around collecting fallen feathers from boas, a key piece to many fan’s outfits.

Fans have named the robot Stomper, because of Styles’ iconic dance that goes along with “Satellite”, the Satellite Stomps, where he stomps his feet to the drum solo.

The You are Home website, the promotional website Styles used to promote the release of his album, had different doors leading up to the release, but afterwards the door had remained closed. Fans later noticed that you could see flashing lights under the crack of the door that went along to the beat of Satellite, and predicted that we were getting a music video soon.

Sure enough, Harries were not surprised when HSHQ, the official Harry Styles Headquarters Instagram page, announced the release of the music video with a graphic of Stomper.

The chorus of Satellite is, “Spinning out waiting for you, to pull me in. I can see you’re lonely down there, don’t you know that I am right here.”

The song is about being lonely, and the video does a perfect job at representing that. Styles is going crazy because he wants to be closer to someone, but he is waiting for them to reach out first. Styles becomes frustrated because he knows the other person is also lonely, and he could help.

The video opens with Stomper listening to a news report on the television about the Mars Rover, and explains how it has been up there by itself for 10 years. The video consisted of Stomper roaming around Madison Square Garden, also known as Harry’s House, the streets of New York, and all the way to NASA headquarters all in an attempt to reach the Rover.

At the end of the music video, Stomper’s battery dies when he reaches Styles, representing the “spinning out” both literally and metaphorically. It is speculated that the video also represents the end of an era, as Styles has also just announced the end of his Love On Tour.
