Internship Spotlight: Emma Fabrizi

Following in older sister Isabella Fabrizi’s footsteps, Emma Fabrizi decided to pursue mechanical engineering through an internship at Forster Precision Tool. Fabrizi’s choice to pursue this internship stemmed from her older sister, Isabella Fabrizi.

“I really wanted to do something that gave me experience,” said Fabrizi. “I think an internship is a valuable experience.”

Fabrizi’s internship is a hands-on experience where she aids in building mechanisms using coding and wooden models. Fabrizi revealed that she hopes to be the head mechanical engineer overseeing many engineers. She plans to pursue this at the University of Connecticut through their mechanical engineering, and management courses starting the 2023 fall semester.

̈My majors are management, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing. They all include business and engineering which is best for me because at Forster Precision Tool, they use business skills all the time, so this would be a mix of that, ̈ said Fabrizi.

“To an extent I like collaborating with people,” said Fabrizi. “At the end, I want to have the final statement and that’s how I am or just working with a group of engineers but we’re all at the same level. I think that’d be really interesting.”

Fabrizi’s leadership experience in high school and her internship helped solidify her dream of becoming a manager in mechanical engineering.
