The Ins and Outs of Science National Honor Society

“Driven and analytical” are two words that Science Honor Society president, Brian O’Connell believes represent the work of this society.

“Our main objective is to spread science education around the school,” said O’Connell.

The honor society helps students build an interest in science, encourages people to work harder in classes and be an active member of this society. By having students join, their future can be better by having a great science education. Their goal is to bring science awareness into the school. Members can collaborate with each other to promote their love for science as a group. There is a process to getting into this program.

“You need to take physics, and you need a 90% average for all of your science classes,” says O’Connell.

O’Connell was nominated for the presidency of the 2022-2023 school year. It takes a lot of skill to be president.

“Mainly, the drive to do better, to improve the organization from what it was,” says O’Connell. “The main thing that I wanted to do was continue improving it.”

Consider taking those harder classes and shoot for the stars! Wait…. that’s astronomy.
