Kassie Bailey’s Campaigns Flooding Woodland

Kassie Bailey, one of many freshmen here at Woodland is getting involved in taking part in Student government and specializing in advertisement. Bailey says that she always enjoyed drawing and wants to express her talent and knowledge.

Bailey’s Campaign focuses on the Law. Bailey created two posters with both color and no color. Bailey said that they took about three hours each. Bailey was inspired to create the posters by seeing similar art back in Washington DC on her eighth grade class trip.

“I feel like it would be cool for people to see what our capital looks like, what the White House looks like,” said Bailey. “I also really like to demonstrate the architecture because it really is beautiful.”

When creating the posters Bailey decided go black and white with her drawings of the White House and the Statue Of Liberty. Doing no color was the best decision for Bailey because she was able to encounter the architecture. Bailey’s drawings show her talent and grab attention by its fine detail.

“I do plan on making more posters in the future,” said Bailey.

Bailey’s future posters will focus on advertising events and gatherings such as spirit week, Homecoming, and other school bound matters . Bailey wants to use her talent creatively but also to draw awareness to national causes.

“I think that art is a good method to help people understand and really absorb information about topics and the attention it can really draw to itself,” said Bailey. “I really want to do that with my art… that’s what I plan to do.”
