New Loaner Chromebook Policy

Starting February 28, 2022 a new loaner policy for chromebooks was put in place at Woodland. Throughout the entire school year thus far there have been many issues where the Media Center has run out of chromebook loaners to hand out to students. Due to the amount of students that either forget their chromebook, damage their chromebook, or fail to charge their chromebook, the policy has been instituted.

“We have too many students who come in with their chromebooks not charged at all,” said Principal Kurt Ogren.

This policy enforces students bringing in their chromebooks by having frequent borrowers have to go to administration to explain why they need a loaner. Depending on the reason and the frequency of borrowing a loaner, administrators may call parents to notify them that they constantly need a loaner. After a certain amount of visits to administration they will not give a loaner to the student. Administration hopes that the new policy deter students from not bringing in their chromebooks charged and fully operational.
