Holiday Activities in Connecticut

As the holiday season comes to an end and winter will soon follow, there are endless holiday activities to consider for the following season. Some of these activities include seeing holiday lights, watching musicals and plays, visiting Santa, and many more. You can do these fun activities with friends or family.

Magic of Lights at Pratt & Whitney Stadium

A one mile drive throughout the Pratt & Whitney Stadium that includes many different LED lights, including iconic movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas, Winter Wonderland, and 12 Days of Christmas. It costs thirty dollars per car and is located in East Hartford.

Annual Gingerbread House Festival

The Gingerbread festival has been taking place for the past twelve years. Contestants get together to create beautiful gingerbread houses that are put on display. You can walk through and take in all of the creations. Located in the Wood Memorial in South Windsor, you can enter for free and enjoy these gingerbread houses.

Greenwich Reindeer Festival

With friends and family, you can enjoy holiday activities like the reindeer coloring station and writing letters to Santa. You can meet Santa and his reindeer. A great activity for children to live out their Christmas dreams. Located in Greenwich and includes free parking.

A Christmas Town Festival

An annual tradition in Bethlehem where you can enjoy many fun activities. The Christmas Festival offers photos with Santa, live music, crafts, hayrides, train rides, scavenger hunts, and many different food vendors. This festival has free admission and parking.

Santa’s Trolley Winter Wonderland

Located at The Shoreline Trolley Museum, Santa greets people in a trolley car. You can take photos with Santa while social distancing and his elves make sure everyone walks away with a gift. You can also take a tour through the museum and a ride on the trolley. Admission is just ten dollars.
