The golf team has been doing exceptionally well this spring, and have become more competitive not only among themselves, but other schools in the league.
Usually, the Woodland Golf Team is not used to such competition, but this season, they have been working hard to get the respect they deserve. With a record of 8-8 last season, the golfers didn’t receive much positive publicity for the season. But, this year they are one of the best teams in the league with an impressive record of thirteen wins to one loss.
“It’s nice to be taken seriously through hard work and dedication” says senior and captain Mike Erickson.
The captains, Erickson and junior Ryan Warner, have been pushing the rest of the Varsity players to practice hard and keep their stellar record the way it is.
The team is getting prepared for their upcoming match, Kennedy on Wednesday (5/27). They are ready to take on this team, and keep their win streak up. The team explains that one of their goals is to compete in the NVL tournament. The boys are focused on bumping up their scores and taking home the win.
