Stuffing a Bus for a Good Cause

When a school bus comes to mind, one usually thinks of early weekday mornings, crowded seats, and loud students.
It is not often that non-perishable food items are pictured when thinking of a school bus.
That is of course unless you’re thinking about a Stuff A Bus event, a fundraiser in which non-perishable food items are donated to a fill a school bus.
On March 8th, Danielle Bobbie, Woodland senior, will be hosting a Stuff A Bus for her senior project.
From 9am to noon on March 8th Bobbie will be accepting non-perishable food items to be donated to Waterbury Youth Services.
This week, Bobbie will also be accepting donations at Woodland and Long River.
“On the day of the event the goal is to fill an entire school bus with donations,” Bobbie said. “From this event I want people to realize that food banks need donations all year round, not just during the holidays.”
She will also be collecting monetary donations to be given to Waterbury Youth Services as well.
