Unfortunately, yesterday proved to be a difficult obstacle for some Woodland teams. Boys baseball fell to the Holy Cross Crusaders 11-3. Girls softball faced a defeat of 16-6. The golf team, unfortunately, was defeated by the Crusaders. Although three of the teams were defeated, both the girls and boys tennis teams were able to defeat the Crusaders. The Boys tennis team shut the Crusaders out winning all nine matches. With ten wins, and still undefeated, the team has qualified for states. After a rough few matches, the Girls tennis team was finally able to reverse the curse and beat the Crusaders in an extremely close match, 4-3. The girls hope to improve their record taking it one match at a time. Today, depending on the weather, all teams will take on the Sacred Heart Hearts. Girls softball is away at Sacred Heart High School. The Boys baseball team and Boys tennis team will be taking on their opponents at Woodland. Girls tennis is away at Fulton Park.
