Woodland Comes Back Against Seymour

Woodland’s volleyball triumph over Seymour’s previously undefeated volleyball team, has left Seymour in shock. This was a big deal for the Woodland girls since Seymour had previously dominated the court against Woodland. After forcing a five match set Woodland pulled out a huge win.

The girls knew that they had to work harder than ever to take the win. The team had breakfast together and bonded before the game. Captain Emma Fabrizi believed that their communication and bonding was key.

“I think it was really our communication and just being all together as a team for the whole day,” said Fabrizi.

A key aspect of the game was when the team was encouraging each other on the court. Sophomore Lindsay Koliani mentioned when the team lost the serve, they would say that they were going to get it back and not to worry.

The whole team was nervous and excited going into the game. They knew that they were the better team and that they could win. Captain Ava Cratty also said she was excited for a rematch.

“Our dedication definitely was key,” stated Cratty. “We never let up and we always kept going no matter how tired we were.”

After the win, the Hawks went on to win the NVL tournament, beating Seymour yet again in a 3-0 win. Best of luck to the team next year.
