The Boys’ Swim season has come to an end, but even with all the changes that have happened in the past year, the boys have broken almost every record on the board.

During the season, all the records, excluding the 11 individual dives and 100-yard freestyle, were broken.

The event that begins every meet is the 200-medley relay and was broken at the boys’ meet against Holy Cross on March 24, 2021.  The record for this event used to be 1:41.88 and was set in 2012 by Pat O’Dell, Andy O’Dell, Allen Katrenya, and Eric Dietz.  The new record was set by Patrick Zieba (Backstroke), Tyler Cyr (Breaststroke), Jake Arisian (Butterfly), and Noah Scott (Freestyle) with a time of 1:39.62.

“To be able to start (although delayed in January), and have zero covid issues, to be together for practice or meets every day, and to swim and dive as well as we did was something that I am very proud of,” said Brendan Heller, coach of the Boys’ Swim team.  “I’m especially proud of the seniors who had a great end to their career in helping lead the school to the best season in the history of the program.”
