Class of 2022 Planning an Exciting Junior Year

The Class of 2022 had big plans for their junior year. The class officers, Eric Meade (president), Will Tottenham (vice president), Colin Slavin (treasurer), Lexi Landrigan (secretary), and Kimmy Poulos (historian), jumped into planning events right when Woodland was able to return to in-person classes.

As the state’s positive COVID cases rose, the governor increased restrictions, including no after-school activities. Unfortunately, the Class of 2022 had to cancel their upcoming event, a planned class-wide bike ride at the Cheshire Trail.

They are hoping to push this event into the spring. The class officers met with their advisors, Mr. and Mrs. Geary, on January 14th to discuss possible plans for semester two. The officers are happy to announce the approaching class merchandise sale coming out shortly. New items including crewnecks, shorts, and sweatpants, will be available. They are also setting up a Saint Patrick’s Day Carnation Sale for March.

To promote team building for the Class of 2022, the officers are also coming up with a virtual event. More information will follow on social media accounts, Schoology, and morning announcements when the dates approach.
