Dr. Mulligan’s Advisory Raising for a Cause

With the year coming to a close, freshman advisories started scrambling to start their freshman projects. One advisory, in particular, came up with a great idea.

Dana Mulligan’s advisory created a fundraiser to buy socks for the homeless. This not only was a great experience for her advisees, but it allowed them to give back to people in need.

Her students were excited for their project to be a success. Freshman Noah Rodorigo was was ecstatic to help those who need it.

[pullquote]“Foot issues are a big issue when a person is homeless,” Rodorigo said. “Giving someone a fresh pair of socks can be so helpful.”[/pullquote]

Mulligan’s advisory understands homelessness is a devastating issue for a lot of people and fundraisers like this can significantly impact someone’s life.

The socks were being ordered from Amazon, and being given out in Connecticut and Florida.

The inspiration came from Mulligan, and the students organized sending the socks to Florida with a group that donates in the south. Using their freshman project to help people is an impactful way to use their project for a good cause.
