It has been a long 12 seasons of ups and downs, people staying and people leaving, of heartbreak in every season, but it’s remained beloved it by it’s large fan base.

Grey’s Anatomy has become a show that many have learned to love, even throughout all of the heartbreak Shonda Rhimes has put the fans through. The show has been going on since March of 2005, and fans have remained dedicated to this show for over a decade. 

The season 12 finale took place Thursday May 19th. The season ended on many different cliffhangers that will only be answered when season 13 comes. The date is unsure as to when the new season will come, but it is sure that there will be a season 13 this upcoming fall.

However, many of the contracts for the cast members are up after season 12. This means that the members will have to re-sign their contracts or they will have to say goodbye to the crazy journey of Grey’s Anatomy.

Luckily, one of the original and loved cast members Alex Karev, who is played by Justin Chambers, has already confirmed he will be back at Grey-Sloan Hospital in March for season 13. 

Hopefully the rest of the cast will decide to resign their contracts and come back for the upcoming season for their beloved fans, some of whom have been on this journey since 2005.
