Thirteen years after the release of  Finding Nemo it has been announced that the sequel, Finding Dory, is finally being released in June of 2016.

The movie takes place six months after Finding Nemo. The plot takes place when Dory suddenly remembers some of her childhood memories. Along with Nemo and Marlin, Dory sets out to find what she saw in her memories.

Finding Nemo is the best-selling DVD of all time. It was the highest grossing G-rated film of all time before Toy Story 3. Disney hopes that the sequel will be just as great as the original movie.

Finding Dory isn’t the only highly anticipated movie said to release this year. Another movie coming out is Disney’s The Jungle Book. It will be released on April 15th of this year. The story is about an orphan boy who lives in the jungle and only has help from a pack of wolves, bears, and a special black panther. The movie was first released in October of 1967 as a cartoon. There was then a live-action remake in 1994 and a theatrical sequel in 2003, The Jungle Book 2. The movie coming out this year will be a live-action adaption.

May 6th, the movie Captain America: Civil War will also be released. The movie will be a sequel of Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The move is a superhero film based on the Marvel Comic character Captain America produced by Marvel Studios. It will be distributed this time, however, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The movie is also intended to be the thirteenth installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Other movies such as Zootopia and Alice Through the Looking Glass are said to be released in 2016.

Toy Story 4 and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be released the following year, 2017.
