Meet Your 2015 Mr. Woodland Contestants: Mike Marti

On Friday June 12th, the WRSC will be hosting the first ever Mr. Woodland competition. Over the next two weeks, we will be featuring each of the nine contestants who will be competition for the title.

Mike Marti is a senior at Woodland. He is a member of Hawk Productions, the World Language Honor Society and the National Honor Society. He will be attending Hofstra University in the fall to study film.

Why did  you decide to enter the Mr. Woodland competition? 

“Some members of Student Government approached me and explained the competition to me. I thought it sounded like a really fun event. I figured it would be a great way to end my senior year.”

What qualities do you have that would make you a great Mr. Woodland? 

“I’m very outgoing, and I like to think I’m pretty charismatic and very personable. I’m involved in a lot of activities at Woodland so I think I would be a good representation of the student body.”

What would winning the title of Mr. Woodland mean to you?

“Winning the title of Mr. Woodland would be a great way to end my high school career. It would make me feel like I really made an impact on the Woodland community.”

What part of the competition are you most excited for?

“Well you see, I’m really looking forward to the talent portion because I think it’s going to be a fun way for the contestants to show who they really are.”
