Fan Bus to Pomperaug

There was no denying the enthusiasm Woodland Regional High School’s Student Section at the varsity football game against Naugatuck High school on Friday, October 4th.
Woodland’s student section cheered through the entire game, showing the school’s spirit for not only the game, but the team as well.
According to the NVL Football Blog, “Woodland even had a student section for the first time ever. Hopefully that trend continues throughout the Valley this fall.”
The Hawk’s next game is Friday, October 18th against Pomperaug. The football team has organized a fan bus to take Woodland’s fanatical students to the away game.
When the idea was first planned there was a fee of two dollars for every student who was going to take the bus. Now the team has reassured students that as long as they can guarantee a full bus, there will be no fee for a student that wants to go and support the team. While a game cannot be won simply by having a large student section, it does help to pump up the players and all Woodland students are encouraged to go and show their support.
