Stores that may be closing in 2013

jcpenney_new_logoAs the New Year begins big changes are coming for the style, fashion and shopping industry. With these changes some stores and brands are predicted to diminish as 2013 starts.

There are a few factors that go into determining which stores might fall out of the industry. One thing people look at is the stock market. Another is how much profit the store has made compared to last year; along with how well they are competing with other stores.

After reviewing these numbers in 2012 there are several stores expected not to  last throughout next new year. These stores include: Blackberry, JC Penny, Best Buy and Avon, and several others.

Blackberry might not be a considered a big deal for many because the company has been falling off the market in recent years. However, other stores like JC Penny may come as a surprise. The prediction arises despite the fact that  JC Penny has gone through many changes. These changes include their coupons and their everyday low prices. In fact, it actually seems that these factors may be pushing customers away.

Another store which has been struggling recently is Best Buy. They are struggling because more and more costumers are buying their electronics online. One website many people to turn to is Amazon. This website contains many of the same products for less money.

Even though Avon has been there through generations, it is becoming less and less popular. Teenagers these days are not wearing Avon products. Instead they turn to products from Lancome or Clinique.

Even though these stores have lasted for many generations, without change they might not last much longer. In order to appeal to customers and bring in a larger profit these stores must attempt new ways to appeal to their customers.

Unfortunately there are other factors that could be affected if these stores fail. Many more people would be without jobs. If things do not change in the shopping industry the economy of our nation could decrease as well. In order for these stores to pull through another year, big changes better be in store.
