Woodland Volleyball With Third Straight Win

The Woodland Hawks dominated the Naugatuck Greyhounds Tuesday night.

The Hawks came out to a great start showing Naugy that they would not back down without a fight.

The Hawks won their first game 25 to 10 with Senior setter Jess Patrizi leading them, making sure that the ball gets to the right hands.

The second game the Hawks gave the Greyhounds a little breathing room by only beating them 25 to 14.

Finally, in the last match up Woodland beat Naugy 25 to 13 to seal the deal and move on to 3-0 for the season.

“ The Hawks are now 3-0 and looking even better as the weeks go on. We played strategically and with a sense of unity,” said Adriana Ambari.

Key players in this match up were Patrizi, helping lead Woodland to Victory with her 16 straight serves giving woodland 16 points.

“Jess Patrizi is an outstanding setter, she’s always thinking ahead on the court. Heather Framski is great also, you can set her a ball and she will put it down at almost any angle. But in the end we all contribute to the team and work together to make things happen,” said Ambari.

The next game for the Hawks is on Thursday, September 23rd at Holy Cross.
