Jac Vanek Bracelets

Everyone remembers the rubber bracelet trend–multicolored circles of silicone that championed causes like LivesStrong or favorite teams or bands. These bracelets were everywere and everyone had at least one; some even had an entire armful. Well, the rubber bracelet trend is back with Jac Bracelets by Jac Vanek.

Jac Bracelets mix two retired fads–silicon bracelets and tacky t-shirts with sayings across the chest like “Cutie, or “Fun”–to make giant, in-your-face bracelets twice the size of a regular rubber bracelet and twice as snarky as the t-shirts.

These bracelets have sayings like “LEGIT”, “EPIC FAIL”, and “TRAINWRECK” which are popular phrases and sayings among teenagers today.

“I love Jacs, they’re so cute and fun. I think it’s awesome that they’re getting really popular. I own eight myself, including a special edition Warped Tour 09 bracelet, which says LIFE’S GOOD,” says sophmore–and avid Jac Vanek bracelet-wearer–Alyssa Stewart.

She also makes collaboration bracelets with bands, and clothing brands. She made a bracelet with popular emo boy band All Time Low saying, “OMG!ASKARTH”, referring to the lead singer Alex Gaskarth. She also collaborates with the popular clothing brand Glamour Kills, who’s trademark is a flying pig.

Jac Bracelets sell for ten dollars and the collaboration twin packs run for twenty. The bracelets can be purchased on exclusively her website, www.jacvanek.com.

For the past five years, Jac Vanek has attended to what she quoted as “punk rock summer camp” on her Twitter, Warped Tour, to sell her products. This year, she launched an apparel line, selling t-shirts.

Currently, Vanek is working on designing vintage necklaces for her line.
