Woodland Student Government Presents: Touch-A-Truck

This Saturday April 22, 2017,  Student Government will be hosting their first ever Touch a Truck Event. From 11AM to 3PM children will be able to see a firetruck and ambulance and also learn about fire safety. Children will be able to touch their favorite vehicles, get behind the wheel , and talk to the professionals who work in them day to day. Not only will there be vehicles for the children, but there will also be fun activities for the children to participate in. An egg dye station, craft station, face painting, and an egg hunt will also be taking place as well. There will be candy and prizes as well for children to receive and win.

Adam Murray, a Sophomore at Woodland Regional High School will be running the event on Saturday. “I’m running the event because I remember exploring emergency vehicles in elementary school and it was always so much fun so I thought I’d bring it back.” says Murray. Not only is Adam eager for the children to see the trucks, but also the smaller stations going on.  “I’m most excited for face painting in all honesty, I’m excited to see how the little children look all painted up.”

The event takes place at Woodland Regional High School in the courtyard on 135 Back Rimmon Road in Beacon Falls. Admission is $5.00. Woodland’s Student Government hopes to see you and your  little ones there this Saturday for an enjoyable afternoon!
