Apple Releases ios 10 Software

Apple Technology Company released its latest software update, ios 10, on September 13, 2016. They are calling it their biggest update yet, complete with new iMessage features, an easily accessible Siri, redesigned maps, and more.

There was much anticipation prior to its release, especially because it was the first significant iPhone update since ios 7 was released in September of 2013. Ios 10 redesigned the iPhone to make their signature apps more interactive. Almost all aspects of the iPhone have been revamped, but without prior research, users may not know the full extent of this new technology.

Here are just some of the newest features of ios10: (According to apple.com)

Tap to replace emoji: Now, with a touch of a button, you can substitute emojis for words.

These changes can make the iPhone feel dramatically different, and many students are impressed with Apple’s newest innovation.

Junior Jordan Theroux said, “The new text features add a lot of pizzazz, for example, being able to send a message with fireworks going off on the screen behind the message.”

Times Magazine stated that “Apple’s new ios 10 software makes the iPhone feel new again,” but not all users would agree.

Senior Krista DeTulio found it difficult to get used to the new features at first.
“I hated how you had to press the home button to unlock the phone but now I’m realizing there really isn’t a big difference and I was able to get used to it,” said DeTulio.

With any major update, it may take a while for users to adjust. Even with the release of the iPhone 7 on September 7, 2016, Apple is continuously working to improve their software to please their hundreds of million users worldwide.
