From the opening kickoff, it was clear the Hawks were ready to take the reigns over their field once again after almost a month of away games. Since their last home game on October 2nd, the Hawks have been on a winning streak and were looking to continue.
Their goal easily accomplished in a thirty-nine to six win over the Wilby Wildcats on October 30th.
The second the ball hit his hands in that opening kickoff, senior Captain, Sean McAllen, soared down the field, ready to make the first of his multiple touchdowns for the night. Other big play makers on the offense were junior Isaac Negron and sophomore Ben Nuss, who would both run for touchdowns. On the defense, senior Guy Massimo and McAllen would both pull in an interception and Sophomore Kyle Macek would recover a fumble.
The Hawks have now begun to prepare for a big game on Friday, November 6th, against the Naugatuck Greyhounds. This game will also be Senior Night for the Woodland Cheer, Dance, and Football teams. The game will start at 6:30 p.m., with the senior ceremonies starting at 6:00.
