Raising money for the Woodland Worldwide club takes on many forms from running a marathon, to selling t-shirts, to even ripping up paper. A Shred It event is a fundraiser that helps the community destroy their important documents by paying to have them all shredded.

Successful or not, the Shred It event means a lot to the people and community of Woodland. Mrs. Geary, the advisor for Woodland Worldwide, states.  “People come with car-fulls of paper. Others who have lost their parents and are left with their documents don’t know what to do with them. I think it’s a service the town really needs as well, so we are glad to be of help. ”

This event isn’t just beneficial to the town, but to the team of Woodland World Wide.

“It was nice that we all were able to be together and work as a team,” explains Nikki Cina, hardworking member of WW. Woodland Worldwide is a club that brings awareness to the many violations of women’s rights that still occur throughout the world today.  Woodland Worldwide will continue making their mark in the community, their next Shred It event is being held the spring of 2015 in Prospect.
