WRSC Board of Education Representatives Plan Idea Forum

As the Board of Education Representatives for the Woodland Regional Student, Makenize White and Nicole Buckley are responsible for representing the students at Board of Education Meetings. This means attending each meeting and reporting on what goes on in the lives of students at Woodland.

The BOE Reps also are responsible for generating student input on the issues that the BOE discusses. In order to hear the student’s opinions White and Buckley planned idea forums for students to attend. At these forums, students have a chance to share how they feel about issues concerning the region.

The second idea forum of the year will be held after school on Wednesday June 12th in room 231.

At this forum White and Buckley will lead discussions about issues like school lunches and the recent cuts to the budget.

Buckley and White will then present the ideas generated at the forum to the BOE on behalf of the students.

“We are hoping that this forum will show students that their opinions about their school really does matter,” said White “and that their voices can be heard.”

The forum will begin at 2:15 and all students are welcome to attend. Cookies will be served.
