Boys Baseball and Girls Tennis in Same Boat

Today is a pressure game for two Woodland teams this afternoon. For boy’s baseball that started out for without a win for a while, they have propelled themselves into a position which they can qualify for states.  Yesterday they beat Crosby 17-0, and now they have to beat Wolcott to qualify, if they beat Wolcott they can lose to Ansonia (their next game) and still make states. But if they lose today they can still beat Ansonia and go to state play.

Also, in that boat is the girls Tennis team as they play Wolcott today.  The girl’s team, beat Ansonia recently, and today’s game will also decide if they have to win to get to states of if they will already qualify. The girls Tennis team have had and up and down season this year, but now they have the chance to end the season off right and go to the state tournament.  Also playing Wolcott tennis today is boys Tennis, and this will be a special game as Wolcott’s only loss was handed to them by the Hawks. And the Hawks only loss was by Lewis Mills, and out of conference team who was undefeated as well.

Today is do or die, kind of for these Woodland teams, if anything it’s time to get clutch.
