Woodland Volleyball Defeats Torrington

The Woodland Girls Volleyball team defeated Torrington on Friday, October 1st by a score of 3-0.

Woodland won all three matches by scores of 25-18, 25-7, and 25-11, respectively.

In the game against Torrington, Senior Captain Jess Patrizi recorded 3 kills, 24 assists, 5 aces, and 8 service points.

Senior Heather Framski also had a big game for Woodland, contributing with 10 kills, 4 aces, 6 digs, and 13 service points.

Senior Lindsay Boland tallied  5 kills, 3 aces, 4 digs, and 8 service points.

Junior Adriana Ambari added 5 kills and 3 blocks while Sophomore Tayler Boncal added 6 kills.

The Hawks are now 7-1 on the season, defeating Ansonia, St. Paul Catholic, Naugatuck, Holy Cross, Watertown, Wolcott, and Torrington and losing to Kennedy.

The Kennedy Eagles dealt Woodland their first loss of the season on Thursday, September 30th by a score of 2-3.

Woodland’s next game is on Tuesday, October 5th at the Seymour Gymnasium.
