On Friday, September 25, 2009, the Woodland Girls Swimming and Diving team was handed their first loss by Torrington with a score of 103-81.
Torrington won the 200 medley relay, 200 IM, 100 fly, 100 back, 100 breast, and the diving portion of the meet.
Woodland’s Katie Hinckley captured the 200 free with a time of 2:06.48. Hinckley also set a new school record in the 500 free with a time of 5:35.33. Jill Pagoni captured the 50 free with a time of 27.07 and the 100 free with a time of 59.99. Pagoni, Sydney Corneau, Chrissy Leeper and Hinckley captured the 200 free relay with a time of 1:50.29. Corneau, Alyssa Maggiore, Emily Soulier and Hinckley captured the 400 free relay with a time of 4:28.91.
